I submitted an update to KnitMinder and KnitMinder Lite to the App Store yesterday. This update fixes the following issues:

  • 0000016: Cannot select photos on iPod touch. Fixed the error where the camera photo picker was being used for the iPod, which doesn't have a camera.
  • 0000018: Ordering of needles in 'type' list view. In the needle list view, when viewing by type, the needles are now sorted by size within the type heading (straight, DP, circular, hooks).
  • 0000019: add natural and beige to list of colors. Actually added "natural" and "ecru".
  • 0000020: display problems in edit project view. When you would make changes in a project then switch to another project, it would appear that those changes were applied to all projects. Also, the pattern name wasn't being displayed correctly when a pattern was selected for a project. These were all display issues, not problems with the underlying data storage. Once the two problems were fixed, all projects displayed the correct data.

You might be thinking, "Why is he telling us about problems in the app? Doesn't that make it look like KnitMinder is buggy?" That may be so, but I firmly believe in being open and up-front about the quality of all of the software that I produce. As a consumer, you should get all the information about what I'm selling so you can make an informed decision before you buy. That's why my bug database is totally open to the public (you get to it from the "Issue Tracker" link at the top of the page). I also answer all email inquiries about Quilt2Go products personally, so if you have a question, found a bug, or have a suggestion, use the contact form to send me a message.

Anyway, the update is in Apple's hands, and I expect it to be released early next week.

Ok, normally I wouldn't be so granular in my postings, but since there is no other news right now, I'll let you know that StitchMinder, the free stitch counting utility application for the iPhone and iPod touch, was submitted to Apple for publication on the App Store last week.

Welcome!
