I love this app but I can't figure out how do I post a picture of my project on the main Project screen... in the same manner as the Pattern or Yarn main screen? I'd like to see at least the pattern picture pulled in or be able to take a picture of the final product. Thanks.

When I touch the add photo button in the logbook function, my folders containing my pictures come up, but quickly disappear and the program crashes, whether I've had time to touch any of the folders or not.
I have and ipod touch with the latest operating system and the latest version of knitminder.

Hi Jackie, just sent you email on this, but I wanted to repost here in case anyone else is having the same issue. KnitMinder 1.4.0 did crash when selecting a picture for a logbook entry. This bug was fixed in 1.4.1, which was released yesterday (9/9/09). Please make sure you have KnitMinder 1.4.1 by checking the version number as follows:

  1. Launch KnitMinder or KnitMinder Lite
  2. Touch the Help button at the lower right of the screen
  3. Touch the About button at the upper left of the screen

A blue dialog box should appear and say "KnitMinder 1.4.1 (8)" or "KnitMinder Lite 1.4.1 (8)". If it says 1.4.0, please update to the latest version using iTunes or the App Store application on your iPhone or iPod touch.

Thanks!

Still pictures

I have updated andin the dialog box it says "knitminder 1.4.1 (8)" but I still can't get the pictures to attach in the logbook. It doesn't crash it's just that the button to choose photo doesn't work. Just wondering what i've done!?

Hi Kelly -

I've noticed that the bottom half of the last button on those popup windows doesn't work, possibly because it overlaps with the tab bar, which should be behind the popup. What I see is that the black and yellow striped area in the screenshot below sometimes doesn't respond to touches:

button issuebutton issue

The screenshot shows the yarn picture popup, but a similar thing seems to happen for the logbook photo as well. Try touching the top of the button ("Select Photo" in this example) and see if that works. I've entered a bug in the issue tracker to make sure I fix this in a future version.

how to post a project picture

You don't take a picture specifically for a project like you do with yarns and patterns. The project picture is the most recent picture attached to the logbook in that project. If you're not actively using the logbook but still want to set a picture for the project, follow the instructions in the FAQ here.

Let me know if you have any other questions about KnitMinder!
