KnitMinder 1.5 submitted to Apple
I just submitted the latest update of KnitMinder and KnitMinder Lite to Apple for approval. According to the developer support web site, 96% of updates are being approved within a week, so I'm hopeful that the new version speeds right through the approval process. New features in version 1.5 include:
- Import/Export: see the previous blog entry for details
- Added a count field for needles
- You can switch to UK needle sizes in the Settings app
- The "double-tap to frog" action in the counters has been replaced by a "frog" button
- Miscellaneous bug fixes
I'll post a detailed tutorial on how to use import and export to transfer data between the lite and full versions soon. This also means that it's full speed ahead on version 2.0!

Thanks for the update!
I appreciate the update because it fixed one of the bugs that "bugged" me the most which was when I would tap to increase my count it would decrease.
Anyway, I was wondering if you could possibly move the frog button. Being so close to the edit button I'm having a hard time touching the right button because everything is so close together.
One other thing I would like to have as an feature is to the a picture of the project on the main page instead of the skein of yarn.
update
Glad that the update has taken care of that particular annoyance for you! Thanks for the suggestion for moving the frog button; I've added it to the issue tracker so I can address it in a future update of the app. One new feature that I've been considering is a way to let you select your preferred style of counter. Some knitters might prefer the old style with the double-tap to frog, others the new style with the smaller frog button, and still others a style with larger increase/decrease buttons more like some of the other knitting apps.
Regarding the grey ball of yarn picture, the picture for a project comes from the most-recent photo in that project's logbook. The idea is that you can always see where you are on a project if you are using the logbook and adding pictures. If you aren't using the logbook, you can still create a single entry with a picture in order to replace the default grey yarn photo.
Thanks!
I just figured out the logbook picture so I was able to update my pictures.
