KnitMinder 1.2.1 submitted to Apple
I just submitted an update to Apple for KnitMinder and KnitMinder Lite that fixes the crash that I reported earlier. The problem occurs if you are using OS version 2.2.1 AND if you have no needles or no yarns. If you are upgrading from a previous version of KnitMinder and have at least one needle and one yarn entered in the program, this bug does not affect you. Also, if you update to OS version 3.0, the app doesn’t crash. I realize that upgrading isn’t a good fix for iPod touch users -- I’m not going to tell you that you need to spend another $9.95 on OS 3.0 just to get KnitMinder working again. Once the update is approved, you will be all set again.
I apologize for the inconvenience that this is causing to new users who just downloaded KnitMinder for the first time and can’t enter their yarns and needles, and to those folks that aren’t able to upgrade to the 3.0 OS to fix it. Releasing an application that crashes is just not acceptable to me, and I’m going to take extra care in the future to make sure updates work for everybody, not just the people on the latest hardware and operating system version. Please click on the Contact Us tab above to email me directly if you have any questions or concerns about this problem. You will receive a prompt, personal answer and I will do my best to resolve any issues you have with KnitMinder.
