How do I get pictures into my iPod touch so I can use them in KnitMinder?

To assign a picture to a yarn, pattern, or logbook entry on the iPod touch, you first have to get the picture into your iPod's photo albums. There are a couple of ways to get photos onto your device:

First, you can set up iTunes to sync photos from your desktop computer. Apple has some background information about what photo sources can be synced based on your operating system here. To set up photo syncing, launch iTunes and plug in your iPod. Select your iPod from the list on the left side of the screen, then click on the Photos tab. Check the box labeled "Sync Photos From..." and select the source of the photos. Go back to the Summary tab and press the Sync button to start the sync process, which should now include photo syncing.

The other way to get photos onto your iPod is to copy them from an email message or a web page. This is particularly useful for getting yarn and pattern photos from the manufacturers' web sites. You need to be connected to a WiFi network in order to get photos from the web. Open Safari and navigate to a web page that has a photo you would like to use. While viewing that page, touch the photo and hold your finger on the screen until a menu pops up from the bottom of the screen. Touch the "Save Photo" button and the photo will be stored on your iPod.

Now you can go back to KnitMinder and add these saved or synced photos to your entries.
